Under Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data ("KVKK") and related legislation, the data controller is Furkan Aydın. For users in the EU/EEA, the same processing is carried out in the capacity of "data controller" under the GDPR.
Account data: email address (when you sign in with Apple/Google/email), language and country preference. Analysis data: the face/hair photos you upload for analysis and the results generated from them (e.g. face shape, hair density, recommended model); we also store a one-way fingerprint (hash) of your photo set and the extracted hair/face traits so an identical set of photos can be recognized and your previous result reused — the photos cannot be reconstructed from that fingerprint. In Barber Mode, additionally: your customers' name, phone number, and notes, and your business profile details (business name, address/location, phone, services and prices, opening hours, photos). Appointment and review data: appointment date, time, service and status (e.g. confirmed, cancelled, no-show), and the ratings and reviews you write. Purchase and credit data: your analysis-credit balance and credit history, and your subscription status; payment itself is handled directly by Apple/Google and your card details never reach us. Referral data: your invite code and which code you joined with. Notification data: if you allow notifications, your device's notification token. Usage data: in-app event logs (e.g. which screen you used and when) and device/app version information. Location and weather data: if you grant location permission or manually pick a city/district for the Daily Hair Weather feature, we store your coordinates, a human-readable location label, and your device's timezone — used only to personalize that feature. Location is read on-demand only, never tracked in the background.
The photos you upload for analysis may qualify as "special category personal data" (biometric data) under the KVKK and GDPR. We process these photos only with your explicit consent and solely to produce the analysis result; we obtain this consent through a separate, explicit consent screen the first time you use the app. To produce your analysis, your photos are sent to Google's Gemini AI model (Google LLC) for automated image analysis; Google acts as our data processor for this purpose and does not use your photos to train its models. You may withdraw your consent at any time by deleting your account via Settings > Delete My Account. When you analyze the same set of photos again, a one-way fingerprint (hash) of your photo set and the extracted traits are stored against your account so we can give a consistent result and avoid an unnecessary re-analysis; this record is deleted together with your other data when you delete your account.
Your data is processed for the following purposes: (a) providing the analysis service and storing your results in your account, (b) displaying your Hair Journey / customer history, (c) managing your subscription, analysis credits and payment status, and protecting the free first analysis from repeated abuse, (d) ensuring account security and preventing misuse, (e) fulfilling our legal obligations, (f) providing the Daily Hair Weather feature's personalized, weather-based hair styling suggestions and its optional daily notification, (g) creating, managing and reminding you of appointments, and giving businesses informational appointment-reliability data, (h) publishing reviews and moderating abuse, (i) running the invite programs.
Your data is shared, for the limited purpose of providing the service, with the following service providers: Supabase Inc. (database, authentication, and file storage infrastructure), Google LLC (the face/hair photos you upload for analysis are sent to Google's Gemini API to generate your analysis result, in addition to optional Apple/Google sign-in and in-app purchases), RevenueCat Inc. (subscription/purchase management), Apple Inc. (in-app purchases and optional Apple sign-in), Functional Software, Inc. (Sentry) (app crash/error reporting; limited to device/app diagnostic information and error stack traces, never photos or payment information), PostHog Inc. (product usage analytics; limited to anonymous usage events such as which screens are used and when, never photos or analysis results), and Open-Meteo (weather forecast and location-search data; when you use the Daily Hair Weather feature, your coordinates or searched city name are sent directly to Open-Meteo to retrieve real weather conditions — no account or API key is used, and per Open-Meteo's own terms this data is not used for advertising). Each of these providers processes data under its own privacy policy and does not use your data for its own commercial purposes. Google processes your photos solely to return the analysis result to Foliq and does not use them to train its models. Your data is never sold to advertising networks or shared for advertising purposes. When you share your analysis report with a business via QR code or link, the business can see the report to the extent you allowed in Sharing Settings. Other data shared with barbers is described in the next section.
When you book an appointment, your name, your contact details (to the extent you choose to share them), the service you picked and the appointment time are shown to that business. So a business can be informed when confirming an appointment, only a summary is derived from your appointment history: the number of completed appointments, the number marked "no-show", and the number of cancellations you made less than 3 hours before the appointment time. This summary is shown only to a business that has a pending appointment with you, covers your history across different businesses, and is for information only; it is not an automated mechanism for rejecting an appointment. The legal basis is performance of the service and legitimate interest; to object to or ask for correction of the summary, write to hello@ascendlabs.studio. Reviews you write (rating, comment and optional photo) are published on the business's profile; the business cannot see the identity of the person who wrote a review. Barber businesses' profile information (name, address/location, services, prices, opening hours, photos and ratings) is visible to everyone in Discover.
Your data is stored on cloud servers hosted on Supabase infrastructure. Your account and analysis data are retained for as long as your account is active or until you delete your account. When you delete your account, the process described in the "Account Deletion" section below is carried out. Your weather location and daily notification preferences are kept until you change or clear them, or until you delete your account, at which point they are deleted along with the rest of your account data. To stop the free first analysis from being used repeatedly by the same person, an irreversible one-way hash of your email address and the fact that this right was used may be kept even after you delete your account; your email address cannot be recovered from that record and it is not used for any other purpose.
Your photos and records are kept in private storage protected by row-level access controls (Row Level Security), accessible only to the relevant account owner (or authorized organization members); no photo is ever published via a publicly accessible link. Your session information is stored encrypted in your device's secure hardware storage (Keychain/Keystore).
Under KVKK Article 11 and GDPR Articles 15-21, you have the right to learn whether your data is being processed, to request information about it if so, to request correction or deletion of your data, to object to processing, and to request a copy of your data in a portable format. To exercise these rights, you can use the relevant options in the Settings screen or contact us at the address below.
You can request permanent deletion of your account and all associated profile, analysis, photo, customer, and haircut records via Settings > Delete My Account. This is carried out irreversibly on the server side; only records subject to a legal retention obligation (e.g. billing history, for the period required by applicable law) may be exempted. These exceptions include the free-analysis record described above.
Foliq is not directed at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect data from this age group. Users aged 13-18 are advised to use the app under the supervision of a parent/guardian, including for consent to biometric data processing.
When we make a material change to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you within the app and re-obtain your consent where required. The current version number is shown at the top of this page.

Hesap verileri: e-posta adresi (Apple/Google/e-posta ile giriş yaptığınızda), dil ve ülke tercihi. Analiz verileri: analiz için yüklediğiniz yüz/saç fotoğrafları ve bu fotoğraflardan üretilen sonuçlar (yüz şekli, saç yoğunluğu, önerilen model gibi); ayrıca aynı fotoğraf setini tanıyıp önceki sonucunuzu yeniden kullanabilmek için fotoğraf setinin tek yönlü bir özeti (hash) ve çıkarılan saç/yüz özellikleri saklanır — bu özetten fotoğraflar geri elde edilemez. Berber Modu'nda ayrıca: müşterilerinizin adı, telefon numarası ve notları ile işletme profili bilgileriniz (işletme adı, adres/konum, telefon, hizmetler ve fiyatlar, çalışma saatleri, fotoğraflar). Randevu ve değerlendirme verileri: randevu tarihi, saati, hizmeti ve durumu (onaylandı, iptal edildi, gelmedi gibi) ile yazdığınız puan ve değerlendirmeler. Satın alma ve kredi verileri: analiz kredi bakiyeniz ve kredi hareket geçmişiniz ile abonelik durumunuz; ödemenin kendisi doğrudan Apple/Google tarafından yürütülür, kart bilgileriniz bize hiçbir zaman ulaşmaz. Davet verileri: davet kodunuz ve hangi kodla katıldığınız. Bildirim verileri: bildirim izni verirseniz cihazınızın bildirim jetonu. Kullanım verileri: uygulama içi olay kayıtları (ör. hangi ekranı ne zaman kullandığınız) ve cihaz/uygulama sürüm bilgisi. Konum ve hava durumu verileri: Günlük Saç Hava Durumu özelliği için konum izni verirseniz veya manuel olarak bir şehir/ilçe seçerseniz; koordinatlarınız, okunabilir bir konum etiketi ve cihazınızın saat dilimi yalnızca bu özelliği kişiselleştirmek amacıyla saklanır. Konum yalnızca ihtiyaç anında okunur, arka planda takip edilmez.
Analiz için yüklediğiniz fotoğraflar, KVKK ve GDPR kapsamında "özel nitelikli kişisel veri" (biyometrik veri) sayılabilir. Bu fotoğrafları yalnızca sizin açık rızanızla ve yalnızca analiz sonucunu üretmek amacıyla işleriz; bu rızayı, uygulamayı ilk kullanmaya başladığınızda ayrı ve açık bir onay ekranı üzerinden alırız. Analiz sonucunuzu üretmek için fotoğraflarınız, otomatik görüntü analizi amacıyla Google'ın Gemini yapay zeka modeline (Google LLC) gönderilir; Google bu amaçla veri işleyen (processor) sıfatıyla hareket eder ve fotoğraflarınızı kendi modellerini eğitmek için kullanmaz. Rızanızı, Ayarlar > Hesabımı Sil yoluyla hesabınızı silerek dilediğiniz zaman geri çekebilirsiniz. Aynı fotoğraf setini tekrar analiz ettirdiğinizde tutarlı bir sonuç verebilmek ve gereksiz yeniden analizi önlemek için, fotoğraf setinizin tek yönlü özeti (hash) ve çıkarılan özellikler hesabınıza bağlı olarak saklanır; bu kayıt hesabınızı sildiğinizde diğer verilerinizle birlikte silinir.
Verileriniz şu amaçlarla işlenir: (a) analiz hizmetini sunmak ve sonuçlarınızı hesabınızda saklamak, (b) Hair Journey / müşteri geçmişinizi göstermek, (c) abonelik, analiz kredisi ve ödeme durumunuzu yönetmek ve ücretsiz ilk analiz hakkının tekrar tekrar kötüye kullanılmasını önlemek, (d) hesap güvenliğini sağlamak ve kötüye kullanımı önlemek, (e) yasal yükümlülüklerimizi yerine getirmek, (f) Günlük Saç Hava Durumu özelliğinin kişiselleştirilmiş, hava durumuna dayalı saç önerilerini ve isteğe bağlı günlük bildirimini sunmak, (g) randevuları oluşturmak, yönetmek ve hatırlatmak ve işletmelere bilgilendirme amaçlı randevu güvenilirliği özeti sunmak, (h) değerlendirmeleri yayımlamak ve kötüye kullanımı denetlemek, (i) davet programlarını yürütmek.
Verileriniz, hizmeti sunabilmemiz için sınırlı amaçla şu hizmet sağlayıcılarla paylaşılır: Supabase Inc. (veritabanı, kimlik doğrulama ve dosya depolama altyapısı), Google LLC (analiz için yüklediğiniz yüz/saç fotoğrafları, analiz sonucunuzu üretmek amacıyla Google'ın Gemini API'sine gönderilir; ayrıca isteğe bağlı Apple/Google ile giriş ve uygulama içi satın alma için), RevenueCat Inc. Bu sağlayıcıların her biri kendi gizlilik politikaları kapsamında veri işler ve verilerinizi kendi ticari amaçları için kullanmaz. Google, fotoğraflarınızı yalnızca analiz sonucunu Foliq'e döndürmek amacıyla işler ve kendi modellerini eğitmek için kullanmaz. Verileriniz hiçbir şekilde reklam ağlarına satılmaz veya reklam amacıyla paylaşılmaz. Bir işletmeyle QR kodu veya bağlantı üzerinden analiz raporunuzu paylaştığınızda, rapor Paylaşım Ayarları'nda izin verdiğiniz ölçüde o işletme tarafından görülür. Berberlerle paylaşılan diğer veriler bir sonraki bölümde açıklanmıştır.
Randevu aldığınızda adınız, (paylaşmayı seçtiğiniz ölçüde) iletişim bilginiz, seçtiğiniz hizmet ve randevu saati ilgili işletmeye gösterilir. İşletmelerin bir randevuyu onaylarken bilgilenebilmesi için randevu geçmişinizden yalnızca özet bir bilgi üretilir: tamamlanan randevu sayısı, "gelmedi" olarak işaretlenen randevu sayısı ve randevu saatine 3 saatten az kala yaptığınız iptal sayısı. Bu özet, yalnızca sizden bekleyen bir randevusu olan işletmeye, farklı işletmelerdeki geçmişinizi de kapsayacak şekilde ve yalnızca bilgilendirme amacıyla gösterilir; bir randevunun reddedilmesi için otomatik bir karar mekanizması değildir. Bu işlemenin hukuki sebebi hizmetin ifası ve meşru menfaattir; özete itiraz etmek veya düzeltilmesini istemek için hello@ascendlabs.studio adresine yazabilirsiniz. Yazdığınız değerlendirmeler (puan, yorum ve isteğe bağlı fotoğraf) işletmenin profilinde yayımlanır; işletme, değerlendirmeyi yazanın kimliğini göremez. Berber işletmelerinin profil bilgileri (ad, adres/konum, hizmetler, fiyatlar, çalışma saatleri, fotoğraflar ve puanları) Keşfet ekranında herkese görünür.
Verileriniz Supabase altyapısı üzerinde barındırılan bulut sunucularında saklanır. Hesap ve analiz verileriniz, hesabınız aktif olduğu sürece veya siz hesabınızı silene kadar saklanır. Hesabınızı sildiğinizde, aşağıdaki "Hesap Silme" bölümünde açıklanan süreç işletilir. Hava durumu konum ve günlük bildirim tercihleriniz, siz değiştirene veya temizleyene ya da hesabınızı silene kadar saklanır; hesabınızı sildiğinizde bu veriler de hesabınızın diğer verileriyle birlikte silinir. Ücretsiz ilk analiz hakkının aynı kişi tarafından tekrar tekrar kullanılmasını önlemek amacıyla, e-posta adresinizin geri döndürülemez tek yönlü bir özeti (hash) ve bu hakkın kullanıldığı bilgisi hesabınızı silseniz bile saklanabilir; bu kayıttan e-posta adresiniz elde edilemez ve başka bir amaçla kullanılmaz.
Fotoğraflarınız ve kayıtlarınız, yalnızca ilgili hesap sahibinin (veya yetkili organizasyon üyelerinin) erişebileceği şekilde, satır bazlı erişim kontrolleri (Row Level Security) ile korunan özel depolama alanlarında tutulur; hiçbir fotoğraf herkese açık bir bağlantı üzerinden yayınlanmaz. Oturum bilgileriniz cihazınızın güvenli donanım deposunda (Keychain/Keystore) şifreli olarak saklanır.
KVKK madde 11 ve GDPR madde 15-21 kapsamında; verilerinizin işlenip işlenmediğini öğrenme, işlenmişse buna ilişkin bilgi talep etme, verilerinizin düzeltilmesini veya silinmesini isteme, işlemeye itiraz etme ve verilerinizin bir kopyasını taşınabilir formatta talep etme haklarına sahipsiniz. Bu haklarınızı kullanmak için Ayarlar ekranındaki ilgili seçenekleri kullanabilir veya bize aşağıdaki adresten ulaşabilirsiniz.
Ayarlar > Hesabımı Sil yolunu izleyerek hesabınızı ve buna bağlı tüm profil, analiz, fotoğraf, müşteri ve tıraş kayıtlarınızı kalıcı olarak silme talebinde bulunabilirsiniz. Bu işlem sunucu tarafında geri alınamaz şekilde uygulanır; yalnızca yasal saklama yükümlülüğü bulunan kayıtlar (ör. faturalandırma geçmişi, ilgili mevzuatın öngördüğü süreyle) istisna tutulabilir. Bu istisnalara, yukarıda anlatılan ücretsiz analiz hakkı özeti de dahildir.
Foliq, 13 yaşın altındaki çocuklara yönelik değildir ve bu yaş grubundan bilerek veri toplamaz. 13-18 yaş arası kullanıcıların, biyometrik veri işleme rızası dahil olmak üzere, veli/vasi gözetiminde uygulamayı kullanması önerilir.
Bu Gizlilik Politikası'nda önemli bir değişiklik yaptığımızda, uygulama içinden sizi bilgilendirir ve gerektiğinde yeniden rızanızı alırız. Güncel sürüm numarası bu sayfanın üst kısmında belirtilir.
